Frightened Rabbit have announced details of a full UK and Ireland headline tour in September 2012. The set of dates will kick off in Portrush’s Playhouse on 6th September, taking in Navan, Michelstown, Dundalk, Dublin, Cork and Galway before heading up to Belfast’s Empire on 15th September, followed by London, Manchester and Dumfries, concluding in a homecoming show at Selkirk’s Victoria hall on 25th September.
Tickets for the UK shows are available from the band’s official website now- link – Ireland shows will go on sale on Thursday, 28th June at 9am.
The indie-rock quintet have since been holed up in the Monnow Valley Studio in Wales, writing and recording their as-yet-unnamed upcoming fourth album. Lead singer, Scott Hutchinson, says of the forthcoming release – “The new record is taking a slightly more stripped back direction than the last album. It's a little darker – we've been writing in the minor key a bit more, and the whole thing is a far more collaborative effort, which has lead to interesting new elements appearing in the songs.”
You can also catch Frightened Rabbit at this year’s Hop Farm Festival in Kent on Sunday 31st June.
