The Bullitts Release World Inside Your Rainbow
“Evocative, provocative, highly imaginative and utterly individual” – just some of the words being used to describe enigmatic group The Bullitts.
Latest single World Inside Your Rainbow, became Zane Lowe’s hottest record in the world last night. The track was recorded at New York’s Platinum Sounds Studios, owned by Jerry ‘Wonder’ Duplessis. The producer and renowned bassist (Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson), plays bass on the reggae infused track, which recalls the playful theme tune of Dr No and is Jeymes' ode to Carnival. Air-horns and a rumbling bassline punctuate this 7 minute long epic song.
Previous releases Supercool, Landspeeder and Close Your Eyes, were instant underground hits and were also crowned ‘Hottest Record in the World’ by influential Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe.
Debut album They Die By Dawn and Other Short Stories, due September 2012, is a fresh, exciting release and includes collaborations with an incredible line up, such as Jay Electronica, Idris Elba, Tori Amos, Mos Def and Lucy Liu, who narrates the whole album.
Title-track They Die By Dawn accompanies Jeymes’ latest film project, of the same name, which features an all star cast – including Erykah Badu, Rosario Dawson and Clifton Powell among others – due to be released late September of this year.
