Motion City Soundtrack are gearing up for a UK tour during September 2012.

They will be touring in support of their fifth studio album “Go” which was released on June 11th via Epitaph Records/The Boombox Generation. The album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart, and received fantastic reviews worldwide. Tickets go on sale 9 a.m. 20th July 2012. Tickets are £13.50 except for the London show which is £15. Singer Justin Pierre said ‘We are incredibly thrilled to get to come back to the UK for more shows this fall! We had a blast with Slam Dunk and wished it had lasted a whole lot longer! We are excited to be able to play some of the other new tracks from GO as well as old favorites and are always looking for suggestions from fans as far as the sets they want to hear/see! Contact us via twitter and facebook and get those requests in! No two shows will be the same! I love exclamation points!’

Motion City Soundtrack are Justin Pierre, Josh Cain, Matt Taylor, Jesse Johnson and Tony Thaxton. Back in 2002 the band released their debut album I Am The Movie. It not only got them on SPIN and Alternative Press’ radar, but impressed Epitaph Records so much, they signed the band. Their follow up, Commit This To Memory enlisted Blink 182 member Mark Hoppus on production duties and saw the band rapidly expanding their fanbase and selling more than 300k copies of the album. Even If It Kills Me arrived in 2007 with production by Ric Ocasek, Adam Schlesinger and Eli Janney, and was the first Top 20 charting album of Motion City Soundtrack’s career by snagging the #16 spot on the Billboard 200. Their fourth album My Dinosaur Life was also the band’s major label debut – released on Columbia Records – and became their top charting album when it debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200. With a number of successful albums, critical praise and a vast fan base, and now returned to their home Epitaph, Motion City Soundtrack continue to push boundaries with their new album.
