St Spirit - Road At The Rise
Album Review

St Spirit – Road At The Rise

St Spirit are releasing their fine new single Road At the Rise as a free download from the bands website at [link] next Monday.

The South London rock band has gone through a few line up changes since releasing their debut EP ‘Pigeon’, and will hope for a bit of stability now. Singer/ guitarist Myles McCabe continues to lead the band and his vocals play a big part in Road At The Rise.

The song goes through a number of different phases, rising and falling from quiet and introspective to a huge sound with rich harmonies that become almost choral. There are some fine guitar melodies and the heavy percussion features a lot of cymbals. It’s sonically complex giving a lush sound that has a great energy to it.

Road At The Rise was the first song recorded by the new St Spirit line up. It’s a good introduction to the band and hopefully a sign of big things to come.
