VIDEO: Young Guns – Towers

Buckinghamshire based rockers YOUNG GUNS are set to release their new single, ‘Towers (On My Way)’, on August 27th on the Play It Again Sam label.

“Towers is a really fun song to play live,” says Young Guns singer Gustav Wood. “It’s got a real sense of energy and it was always an obvious choice for a single as far as we were concerned.”

Speaking of the Tim Mattia (Marilyn Manson, The Dead Weather, Cage The Elephant) directed video, Gustav adds, “we wanted to do something different for this video, as our recent videos have been fairly epic, grandiose affairs. We wanted to do the opposite to that and create something a littlemore conceptual. The video for Towers is actually a prequel to our last video, Dearly Departed, with the storylines linking.”

The band, who released their second album, ‘Bones’, in February to critical acclaim, securing a Top 20 UK Album chart position in the process, have justsigned a deal for the album’s release in the United States with Wind-Up Records, stateside home to The Darkness, Creed and Evanescance among others.

Before heading out to America to begin their assault, the band recently played a series of Olympic Torch Relay celebrations for Coca Cola, as well as appearances at a host of UK and European festivals (Tramlines, Redfest, Boardmasters, Pukkelpop) on the horizon, culminating in a penultimate slot on the Festival Republic stage at the Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Elsewhere on the live front, the run of Vans Off The Wall Music Night shows presented by Monster, will see the quintet headline, alongside very special guests WE ARE THE IN CROWD, YOUR DEMISE and MARMOZETS, at the following dates:
