Childish Gambino Announces New Single 'Firefly'

Childish Gambino, whose two sell-out London dates earlier this year were among the rawest, most electrifying hip hop shows for many a year, has his brand new Glassnote/Island single “Firefly” released on August 6th.
The single is taken from Gambino’s recently released and universally acclaimed first album proper “CAMP” which established the actor/comedian/writer as one of the most challenging, exciting and lyrically interesting talents to emerge in hip hop.

Childish Gambino has released two mixtapes, “I Am Just A Rapper” and “I Am Just A Rapper 2”, and in 2010 released his first full length original material album entitled “Culdesac” to widespread critical and public acclaim.

In March of this year, he released an untitled EP that featured the hit “Freaks and Geeks” and most recently, Gambino wrapped the Bonnaroo Music Festival and was listed as one of the top five acts to see by “Spin Magazine”.
