This Feeling July 21st @ The MacBeth London
Born Blonde pulled off another skyscraping performance at a sold out This Feeling (The MacBeth) in London on Saturday. The soulful London five-piece, celebrating the launch of brilliant new single ‘I Just Wanna Be’ were on fierce form, tearing through an absorbing set of guitar pop epics, including previous singles ‘Solar’ and ‘Radio Bliss’. With their debut LP out later in the year preceded by the epic Verve Doves sounding ‘Signs of Fear’ Born Blonde are set to win an army of new fans.
On the same bill, dark, brooding garage rockers Black Market Karma entertained with dynamic psychedelia in the BRMC vein, while South Yorkshire’s Exit Calm raised the roof with an emotionally charged display of early Verve-style romanticism.
Completing the line-up, London three-piece The Sonic Jewels are certainly ones to watch judging from Saturday’s evidence; explosive Led Zeppelin-esque riffing and a healthy dose of glam.
