New Single From Emin

Having performed to an estimated 150 million people in May during the Eurovision television show, Emin Agalarov releases ‘Walk Through Walls’, the second single from his new album ‘After The Thunder’ on 27 August.

‘Walk Through Walls’ is an uplifting song of hope and optimism, perfect for the Olympics. Produced by Tim Bran (Charlatans, The View) and mixed by Ash Howes (One Direction, Leona Lewis, Dido), ‘Walk Through Walls’ is written by Bran and Bnann (Infadels). The recording experience is one that Emin recalls as being “an inspiration to see them look at my music from a new angle … I loved it!”.

Already a household name in Russia and his home country Azerbaijan , Emin’s star continues to rise throughout Europe where ‘After The Thunder’ was released in May. Emin is looking forward to a summer of concerts across the continent which will culminate in a special guest appearance with J-Lo at the opening of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in September.

‘Baby Get Higher’, the first single from ‘After The Thunder’, was added to the Radio 2 A List in April prior to the album’s release. Featured in the UK comedy film ‘The Magnificent Eleven’ the single was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and Emin appeared on various UK TV shows including Daybreak and This Morning. In an exciting development, Emin is in discussions to create a six part music series for a national TV channel in the UK and for international distribution in 2013.

A collection of contemporary adult pop ‘After The Thunder’ sees Emin developing as a songwriter. Writing on both piano and guitar Emin finds the words and melody often come to him simultaneously: “I usually write both at the same time. That is the most immediate aspect of writing for me … I like to write stories in my songs … based on observations about life and relationships or a memory.”

In the UK Emin is signed to Saffron Music, with A&R and marketing being handled by Nick Phillips (ex Warner Music and Universal MCA Chairman) and Adam Hollywood (ex Warner Music General Manager), who have also been responsible for guiding the careers of the likes of Stone Roses, Michael Buble and Josh Groban.
