‘Build A Life’ was the original demo released online by South London post-rock band St. Spirit in September 2011. Here the band gives away a completely re-recorded and re-mixed version of the song, which has been engineered by the world-renowned Adrian Bushby. The track has already seen major support from XFM and BBC Radio 1 Introducing.
Available as a free download from the bands’ website on the 20th of August, ‘Build A Life’ is released with a fully animated story of life and death which is epically beautiful & disturbing.
‘Build A Life’ follows the release of their debut EP ‘Pigeon’ and their most recent free download a month earlier of ‘Road At The Rise’ which was described by Mary Ann Hobbs of XFM as “extraordinarily beautiful” and was her “Game Changer” for a week.
Myles McCabe explains: “We wanted to put some music out quickly and for free as a thanks for all the support we have been receiving. ‘Build a life’ is about human reproductive processes, the proliferation and evolution of humanity in relation to modern contraceptive procedures and self-destructive human behaviours.”
