Don Broco - Priorities
Album Review

Don Broco – Priorities

Bedfordshire hotties Don Broco can now add something else to their list of achievements. When their album ‘Priorities’ reached number 1 in the Official Charts Rock releases, it turns out that they had sold more copies than Justin Bieber that week.
Now make of that what you will, and look into the stats, but this album is truly worth it. We at Glasswerk have now doubt why it sold so well, and if you have yet to hear it you best purchase it immediately. Backed up with incredible sets at Reading and Leeds festivals at the weekend, and a few more shows to go before the summer is up, Priorities is worth a listen.
The long awaited album was pumped up to full volume straight away, and what caught us from the moment the record started, with single ‘priorities’ was the excellent songwriting and captivating vocals, and the catchy choruses are two a penny throughout the album, great for them, not so great when it comes to getting the songs out your head! Second single Actors also features on the album, yet another belter, but the highlights of the album are ‘Fancy Dress’, ‘Back in the Day’ and ‘Let’s go back to school’, all completely flawless, with multiple layers of guitars, cheeky riffs and hints of Broco days gone by and EPs of yonder.
That is not to say that the more mellow ‘Hold on’ and ‘Yeah Man’ aren’t as great, the whole album seems to have been carefully crafted so that the filler is as minimal as possible and the Broco character is alive through each track. The whole album deserves a disco, and you wont be able to stop yourself from wanting to dance to it. If I was allowed to give it 11/10 I would. Excellent.
