Sponsored Video: Converse Pro Streets

Shoe brand Converse launched Pro Streets in London on the 29th August, a Europe-wide game that lets you show off the unique character of your local area by filming MC battles, skateboarding, bmxing, basketball games or dance offs and uploading them to the official website where users can rate and vote on their favourites. Top ranking videos will then be split into areas with the most incredible talent and celebrated by Converse in real time.

Skills demonstrated in the video can be in any area – the only rule is that whatever you do must be an expression of who you are and represent the area in which you live.

The competition takes place in six of the world’s most culturally diverse cities – London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Amsterdam and Milan – so you’ll be put against some of the best that Europe has to offer. The Pro Streets camera teams will be setting up in several specific areas of London including: Brixton, Camden, Finsbury Park, Ladbroke Grove and Mile End.

Converse are of course world renowned for their iconic basketball shoe, The Converse Pro Leather sneaker, which was first introduced in 1976 and is regarded as the first modern basketball shoe. Since then their comfy and casual design has been adopted by musicians, artists, sports stars and dancers as both fashion statement and practical footwear.

The Fall 2012 Pro Leather Vulc has been given updates in construction and design for an even more modern shape. It comes in black and blue and is available in stores all over the world.
