Hertfordshire five piece Scholars played an all ages matinee show and I gave up my precious Saturday afternoon to go and see what all the fuss is about.
The crowd may not have been particularly huge but the bands stage presence and enthusiasm could have filled a stadium. You can tell these boys love what they’re doing and they’re good at it. There wasn’t a still head or foot in the house which is definitely saying a lot when you compare it to the reactions the previous bands received.
Their set was quite short, the crowd wasn’t very big and it was awfully loud for a little room on a Saturday afternoon but they really made an impression on me and a very good one at that.
Their tunes are catchy, their enthusiasm contagious and you can’t help walk away in good mood, humming their songs and, to be honest, I can’t wait to see them again.
