To Kill A King have just released their new video for ‘Howling’. Directed and produced by the band’s keyboard player, Ben Jackson, ‘Howling’ is the first of To Kill A King’s music videos to feature the band themselves.
Made-up of over 5000 photos taken over the course of 30 hours in one weekend, Ralph Pelleymounter, the band’s singer and songwriter, was required to sit perfectly still for the duration of the shoot while the hours passed behind him.
“The first sitting was tough because we started at 3 in the morning and worked until 1 the next day.” says Ralph “In the second I had to sit still while the others got to play guitar and Xbox all day. And in the third I had to concentrate on not moving while a bunch of my mates got drunk behind me. I was glad when we’d finished. It took its toll.”
‘Howling’ is the lead track off To Kill A King’s latest release, the ‘Word Of Mouth EP’, which was recorded and produced by the band themselves and is being distributed on hand/lip printed CDs. Fans cannot buy the EP, but rather are rewarded them by either promoting the band in original ways or hunting the shelves of one the many record shops where the band have hidden them amongst the other CDs. A digital version is free from the band’s Bandcamp page – link.
The band will be embarking on a headline tour of England to support the record in October and November.
