Vince Kidd Releases Debut EP

Wetting appetites big style for his hugely anticipated album next year, Vince Kidd releases his debut EP this November via Island Records.

The EP features two songs, Sick Love (featuring Lady Leshurr) and Taboo, alongside three remixes, providing the perfect taster of what is yet to come in 2013.

The tracks showcase Vinces smooth vocal ability and his honed song writing skills. Sick Love is a mid paced slick jam that features rising MC Lady Leshurr. Whilst Taboo mixes electro beats with banging vocals to create some musical madness. The three remixes of Sick Love also feature some very special guests. The Red Skull remix features Scorcher, EXO, Shystie and Metis, whilst the E.L.E remix features Benny Banks. A third mix comes courtesy of Woz.

Born in 1990, Vince grew up in South London, the son of a cab driver. Inspired early in his life by singers such as Sam Cooke, Lauren Hill and Terence Trent DArby, Vince began writing songs as teenager. A chance night out then led to a phone call from King of Pop Michael Jackson! Whilst at dinner with friends, a phone was passed to Vince with Michael on the end of the line. Vince promptly burst into song, with Michael declaring Vince a future star.

After performing in local pubs and bars, he was spotted by Sony ATV who rewarded him with a publishing deal in 2010. April 2012 saw Vince notch up thousands of on line views for his A64 contribution to SBTV, which founder Jamal Edwards describes as one of the best. Vince has subsequently won huge support from the UK urban scene, as highlighted by the contributions from both Scorcher and Lady Leshurr on the EP.

Vince took part in this years series of The Voice, and under the mentoring of Jessie J reached the final of the competition, before signing a deal with Island Records. His first headline tour of the UK this July was a complete sell out, and he is currently preparing for his second this October.

A true talent, Vince writes all this own material, and has been working alongside some of the UKs hottest rising talents including The Royal Palms, Michael Percy and E.L.E.
