Lonely The Brave are a five piece epic-rock act from Cambridge, England, influenced by everyone from Dinosaur Jr. to Explosions In The Sky and The National. In 2010, Radio One Rock Show host Dan P Carter liked a simple demo recording from the band so much that he invited them to perform 4 tracks live for his Radio 1 Rock Show, one of the first times this has ever happened for an unsigned band, and in the months that followed the band garnered attention from the likes of Rock Sound, Kerrang! and were given the opportunity to open for Lost Prophets at the launch of the last Guitar Hero game. They also released an EP, which sold out locally and led to further national press.
In 2011, they went diligently quiet – working intently on their debut album – and in 2012, after adding second guitarist Joel, they’re now ready to return with their debut album, “The Day’s War”, and a series of live shows that will finally cement their reputation as one of Britain’s most promising new guitar acts.
The first release from the album is out now. You can hear the slow burning new single “Dinosaurs” here: link
