A one-man A-Team, The Equalizer shows up wherever there’s a damsel in distress (because her boyfriend kills priests, some fancy-dress teens and her mum – episode 1). It’s pretty full on with a lot of extreme scenarios and it’s pretty fast paced. You’ll also spot a lot of faces from TV today, so it certainly seems like a rite-of-passage show for people in CSI at the moment.
Having never seen this before, I can’t say for sure if series 3 is better or worse than the others. However, I’m guessing that fans of the show won’t be disappointed. I can’t really see it finding a new audience though as it’s pretty dated, without the cheesiness of the A-Team or Knight Rider.
The only major con is the soundtrack. The synthesizer is used regularly and without discretion and it will leave you with a terrible headache. However, if you lived through it the first time, I can’t imagine you having any problems with it this time.
