In celebration of his forthcoming headline North American, UK and Japanese shows, Squarepusher has released a surprise new live EP, “KCRW Session”. This excellent live session was recently recorded at the legendary “Village” recording studios for the West Coast radio station KCRW – one of the best known alternative radio stations in the US. This EP features 5 live reworks from Squarepusher’s stellar 2012 release, ‘Ufabulum’.
The EP will only be available for a limited time coinciding with the run of live shows. You can get it right now exclusively at Bleep ahead of its wider digital release on the 12th November here:

“The whole session was recorded in a single take with no edits and is in keeping with the way I was performing the material in the live shows at the time. I wanted to introduce more disorder and mayhem to these pieces, and to move away from the more strictly controlled sound of the album.” – Squarepusher
Heralded for his dazzling, high-octane live shows, Squarepusher’s Ufabulum tour is an intense sensory experience of light and sound. As it will be the first time he has stopped off at these major cities since dropping the album in May, fans will finally have a chance to see what this show is about.
First off is the London show at the Hackney Empire, with support from Laurel Halo, for which only a handful of tickets remain. New York’s Terminal 5 performance on 1st November will also feature Bonobo (DJ set), Holy Fuck and Mount Kimbie. To end this run of dates in 2012 on a high, he will play at the 15,000-capacity Electraglide festival in Tokyo. Please see below for more details:
