Born Blonde have unveiled the new music video for their soaring track ‘Signs Of Fear’. The track, released on November 17th, is taken from the band’s long awaited debut album ‘What The Desert Taught You’, out November 26th through Moriaty The Cat Records.
The video is dedicated to all of the people outside of the band who have helped Born Blonde reach this stage in their career. For a band still in their relative infancy, Born Blonde’s journey so far has been in equal parts rewarding and tumultuous. From friends and family to musicians and producers, the characters that make up this powerful video portray the guiding influence that other people can have in shaping the destination of a journey.
The video was co-directed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch and Born Blonde’s Joshua Lloyd-Watson. Of the video, Joshua says: “We wanted to create a video that really meant something to us. Something we can look back on, that captures a moment in our lives and all the people that have been a part of it. I guess we just wanted to make a video that was honest and emotional. We felt like that’s what the song was asking for.”
The restrained beauty of ‘Signs Of Fear’ points to one of the more reflective moments on ‘What The Desert Taught You’ and follows their acclaimed single ‘Solar’ and ‘I Just Wanna Be’. A sonic explosion of psychedelia and shoegaze, Born Blonde’s epic recordings are only matched by their multi-auditory live performances.
