T-Rex Offspring Rolan Bolan Announces UK Tour

Rolan Bolan was born in Camden England to rock legend father Marc Bolan of T Rex and mother Gloria Jones writer of hit’s including “Tainted Love”, “If I Were Your Woman” by Gladys Knight, and collaborations with Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross plus a slew of others.

At the age of two Rolan and family moved to Los Angeles where he planted roots, went to school which included a degree from Loyola Marymount University.

Rolan’s rich musical lineage really kicked in during the 90’s. With a love for music that spans Hip Hop to Hard Rock Rolan set out to carve his own legacy. He worked for Ice Cube’s “Street Knowledge Productions in L.A. as a starting platform to learn about the music industries business side.

Enter “The Brother’s Bounce” a band Roland put together with long time friend Brian Lapin. Brain is best known for his production work with early “Black Eye Pea’s” and more recently supplying the music for NBC’s “Outsourced and “Gossip Girls” on the CW network.

“The Brother’s Bounce played their alterative rock music throughout the U.S. as well as performing in France, Spain and England. At the end of that stint Rolan honed his guitar skills and hit the road as a solo artist playing every major venue in L.A. and performing in the most diverse locations including Sierra Leone West Africa (where his family foundation is located) and Budapest Hungary.

Today Rolan’s success stands on its own. He has written over 160 songs, recorded with the top producers in the business, appears in videos both his own and as a guest musician and most recently has signed a recording deal with EFM/Bungalo Records a Universal Music Group distributed label. Rolan has also helped Gibson Guitar design their new Marc Bolan series Les Paul which is available now.

Rolan will be performing some of his own songs from his diverse catalogue, plus some interpretations of classic T.Rex hits – plus a couple of covers for good measure!
