After springing onto the scene last year with debut, self-confessed “countrypolitan” debut ‘Little Red Boots’, the Canadian singer- songwriter delighted audiences at some of first ever UK live outings.
Now she’s back January 21st with ‘Cigarettes & Truckstops’, her second full-length LP on Last Gang Records, and a stunning testament to her recent move to Nashville – Lindi’s spiritual home. Despite keeping many of the folk-led, Americana flavours as her debut, it is a genuine country article but with a bluesy thread running straight through the middle.
Highlights include the eerie ‘Murder of Crows’ – Lindi’s reimagining of the murder ballad genre – the candid ‘Lead Me On’ and the thought provoking content of ‘Heaven Has No Vacancy’.
