We continue our new Festive feature…
“On the fourth day of Glasswerk my true love gave to me, Leeds based indie rockers Morain” – front man Wil Frost stops calling four different birds for a minute (what is he like eh?) and answers our questions instead.
If you could spend Christmas anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Definitely the cheesy answer but it’s gotta be home for me.
What’s your favourite Christmas song?
Coldplay – Christmas Lights.
Give us three things on your list this year.
I am asking Santa for a iPad, new socks & an espresso machine.
Have you been naughty or nice, and what did you do to deserve the title?
Definitely nice, Morain just put out their debut EP completely free, can’t get any better than that.
Any favourite Christmas movies?
It’s gotta be Jingle All The Way or the first Home Alone
What’s the worst Christmas you’ve ever had?
Worst Christmas I have had was when my brother was away travelling, definitely didn’t feel the same.
And the best?
Don’t really have a best, they’re all great. Food, drink, family and presents, it can never go wrong.
Have you got anything out that people should put on their lists this year?
We recently put out 50 handmade limited, signed & numbered copies of our EP… They have been selling really well so there’s only a few left but they would be a great stocking filler. We then also have a range of t-shirts available too. These are all available from morain.bigcartel.com
Who are you backing for Christmas Number 1?
I don’t really mind, as long as it’s no one from a talent show, has to be someone who has worked hard to earn it for me!
Which day is better and why: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day?
Christmas Day without a doubt, that doesn’t even need justifying!
The Queens Speech – yay or nay?
Yay
If you could stock some awesome Christmas related merch, what would it be?
Morain Xmas stockings and also festive socks!
Top 3 Christmas dinner components.
Turkey, Mulled wine, crackers.
Thanks Wil, Merry Christmas boys and keep off the sherry – you rascals.
