Inspiral Carpets Back To Life UK Tour

Following a summer of festival appearances Inspiral Carpets have announced that they are performing their debut album ‘Life’ for the first time in its entirety, in March on a full UK tour. The album has been re-mastered and will be accompanied by the long awaited DVD version of their legendary G-Mex performance ‘21790’. ‘Life’ was released in 1990 and reached number 2 in the UK album charts.

Recently Inspiral Carpets released their first material in 15 years with single ‘You’re So Good For Me’. March 2012 saw reinstated founder member, Stephen Holt tour the UK with the band for the first time in 24 years.

I remember Graham Lambert and myself crafting some of these songs in Clint’s practise room at The Mill near Oldham” he said “The songs have stood the test of time and the album is seminal.

I recall debuting Sun Don’t Shine in a small underground club in Manchester where journalist John Robb told us we’d come of age. There are some great albums around at the moment and these are exciting times.

In May the band were special guests on the Happy Mondays’ tour which was their first tour together with their original line up including a show at Manchester Arena.
