Sponsored Video: Ellie Goulding – Figure 8 live at O2 Academy Brixton

Check out this live video of smash hit songstress Ellie Goulding performing “Figure 8” live at O2 Academy Brixton.

In the video Ellie speaks out about where she was mentally during the writing of the song and the sense of unrequited love that led to her penning the hit.

It’s such a rubbish feeling when somebody doesn’t love you back” she says “When that happened to me it was just the worst thing in the world and I was obsessed with that and human behaviour, that song is just the epitome of it because you can’t get any more depressing than that. You’re just stuck in this figure eight.

Goulding’s second album Halcyon was released in October 2012. “Anything Could Happen” preceded the album as the lead single, reaching the top five in the UK as well as the top forty in Belgium, Ireland and New Zealand.

“Halcyon” debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, and number nine on the Billboard 200 Chart, her first Top 10 debut in the United States. The album also reached top five in New Zealand, top ten in Ireland and Canada, and top twenty in Australia.
