Introducing The Shallows

This week, The Shallows released their first single ‘Fairly True’, kicking off 2013 with an energetic and upbeat track, and marking the beginning of what is sure to be a great year for them.

Lively guitar riffs throughout, catchy vocals and playful drum beats, it’s a song that’s all about letting go. While some of the lyrics may feel pessimistic, the inspiration was to write a song that sounds great live, with an upbeat feel that will get any crowd going.

The Shallows is made up of four band members who all met in London – Tom Skelton on lead vocals, Russ Cragg on guitar, Joe White on bass and Al Hewitt on drums. Taking influence from the likes of The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club and Neu!, the band spent 2012 recording in the studio and have a raft of tracks up their sleeves.

Their priority now is to get out and perform them live – the next gig is scheduled for:
