Cold Mailman – My Recurring Dream

Here’s a rather fine new video for you, just released today. It comes from Norwegian’s Cold Mailman and it is their new single, My Recurring Dream.

This is basically a good indie-pop song. Melodic and combining a strong lead vocal with a swirling musical background it has a delicate beauty. With a big chorus that builds and swells, the track is an uplifting and complex song that delights.

Cold Mailman can be considered an epitome of the qualities that have been linked to the development “Nordic sound” within the last few years. With five out of six members hailing from the city of Bodø way above the polar circle, based in the buzzing music industry of Oslo, Cold Mailman’s intricate, intimate, dreamy and extremely well-produced indie pop has been getting attention from all over the globe lately.

The video was directed by André Chocron, Norway’s most praised music video director at the moment, and its dreamy sequencing of scenarios that feel like something you’ve experienced but at the same can’t recognize, like something from a dream world, emphasize the track’s grandeur at the same time as it looks amazing.

The single was released digitally on Monday 4th February with the album ‘Heavy Hearts’ due for release in April 2013.
