The 2013 BAFTA Results

BAFTA-2013-638x425

Well it was a fairly even spread this evening. Zero Dark Thirty drew the short straw sadly, but at least the other Oscar-snubbed film this year Argo ran off with the most honours of the evening. Ben Affleck can look suitably smug for now (and well deserved too).

No-one was too surprised to see Anne Hathaway or Daniel Day Lewis on stage, but Lewis did give a very funny self-deprecating speech. More of a surprise was how Brave managed to get Best Animated Feature.

The highlights included Alan Parker getting a Fellowship and the Bond series grabbing Best British Film and score for Skyfall. And we were very happy that Searching For Sugarman found its way to the stage, as did the documentary Imposter in another category. We also tip out hats to Juno Temple who did sterling work in Killer Joe last year and won the Rising Star Award.
