Justin Bieber has become the most in-demand act in the world following two weeks of controversy on his recent visit to the UK which saw him passing out, picking fights and promising never to return to our shores.
Despite a fortnight of controversy, demand to see Justin Bieber in concert has soared, making him the most-searched act globally according to data from ticket marketplace Seatwave. The statistics show the teen star outperforming even Beyoncé by 39%, and put to bed any suggestions that Beliebers have been deserting the flock. Only One Direction has seen comparable demand in the last couple of weeks, at around 5% less than their fellow idol.
Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave, commented: “In an era when every major act has his or her army of fanatical followers, the Beliebers are particularly loyal. Recent events seem to have riled them, rather than put them off, and they are standing by their hero with a vengeance. It’s clear that Justin is the most popular act in the world right now, and not just on Twitter.”
