After the release of single ‘Hold This Moment’ back in February, Swedish electro-pop artist Vanbot returns with a new track, ‘When My Heart Breaks’. The single is released on Vanbot’s own label Lisch Recordings and it’s the second single taken from her new album, due out later this year.
Talking about the new single, Vanbot says: ‘When My Heart Breaks’ is about that impossible relationship that seems like an endless battle, yet you wouldn’t want to be without it. You know the one that is so important that you would fall apart if something were to happen to it.”
Following premieres on The Line of Best Fit and Conan O’Brien, we now have the video for “When My Heart Breaks”, directed by Rikkard Häggbom. The track can also be downloaded from https://soundcloud.com/vanbot/when-my-heart-breaks
Late night bike riding and endless love for retro synthesizers inspired Ester Ideskog to compose synth-heavy electro pop as her alter ego Vanbot. Earlier this year she released the single and video “Hold This Moment,” praised by international bloggers as MTV Buzzworthy, Popjustice and Perez Hilton.
The self-titled debut album was released in 2011 on Vanbot’s own label, Lisch Recordings that received rave reviews in Europe and the US. After performing in both Europe and the US, new songs were inspired by the idea of creating tension between the beautiful and the skewed; to find a balance between catchy melodies and twisted synthesizers. The focus is still on the melodies, but with more distorted elements.
