Well here is a band to be particularly excited by. They’re called Carousels and Limousines and they play rock n roll!
Hailing from Bath and sounding like everything that’s ever been amazing over the years in the vein of Kings Of Leon, Bruce Springsteen, The Faces, Ryan Adams… you get the idea…
Debut album ‘Home To Andy’s’ offers a slice of something that feels like today’s pop and rock scene could be missing. Songs which aren’t disposable, but rather classic. Songs which could just save your life and effortlessly soundtrack a lost summer of love.
Carousels and Limousines actually started life as a locally loved band named Grace who achieved a modicum of success with their ‘Stealing Kisses’ EP, but with a new drummer Martyn James literally kick-starting them onto another level and producer Richard Causon (Kings Of Leon, Tom Jones, Rufus Wainwright) behind the desk at Air Studios, something a little bit special has now unfolded in the form of ‘Home To Andy’s’. Iconic producer Chris Hughes happened to hear it and was happy to confirm it as, “A Great Record”.
Take a listen/watch of first release ‘17’s’ and you’ll get the idea. With boy band looks, Josh Hartnett anyone? and a passion demonstrated in their live show to literally sweep a front row of teenage girls off their feet and inspire sing-alongs to songs the crowds have only just heard, this is how rock n roll should be and how those too young to appreciate the 60s and 70s can only imagine it was.
