Riding high on a wave of critical acclaim for her debut EP ‘The Movement’, Betty Who has debuted her brand new video. “Who indeed?” you may well cry. Well, a lot of pop’s biggest tastemakers are getting their knickers in a twist over this one and we’re inclined to agree based on the strength of this belting single.
Shot over three days in New York City by filmmaker Evan Savitt, the gorgeous visual tells the story of an unspoken love between two close friends.
“The song was so real for me in it’s story,” Betty Who explains. “I wrote it about when you feel absolutely insane because you know somebody has feelings for you, but no one has said anything.
So it keeps going back and forth between great and romantic and tragically friend zoned. I wanted to show that in the video, so I asked my friend Tyler to be in the video with me and we got to play out all of these really intense moments together.
Tyler – who happens to be a dashing man with great facial hair and big biceps – surprisingly agreed to star in the video with me, so we basically just hung out for a weekend like we usually do, except with lots more cameras and making out!“
