She & Him Release I Couldv’e Been Your Girl Video

She & Him have premiered the video for their new single, ‘I Could’ve Been Your Girl,’ on Zooey Deschanel’s own site HelloGiggles. The single is due for release on July 15th and the video marks the first time Deschanel has stepped behind the camera to direct.

Says Deschanel about directing, “After 7 years and 4 albums with She & Him, I figured it was about time I took a crack at making a video for a song I wrote. The process was so much fun, and gave me a chance to give a nod to some of my favorite ’60s musicals.”

‘I Could’ve Been Your Girl’ is taken from the band’s new album, Volume 3, out now on Merge Records.
