Blackbeard’s Tea Party raise the bar when it comes to Folk, interrelating an inspired recreation of Irish melodies with a fore fronted attitude to music, notorious street performers are no storming the stage in their UK tour! We highly recommend you give them a listen on their website located below the article and if you want the live experience? Feel free to check out the date above!
In their four years together, Blackbeard’s Tea Party have built a reputation as one of the most formidable live acts on the folk circuit. This was cemented in 2012 by a plethora of crowded festival shows at the likes of Cambridge, Sidmouth and Shrewsbury. In striking the perfect balance between traditional material and contemporary arrangements, Blackbeard’s Tea Party’s fans range from the most committed folkies to the most hardcore of rockers.
Following a stratospheric take off with their first UK tour in April, the six-piece folk-rock band now embark on their Autumn tour due to popular demand. This run of live dates promotes the release of their second full-length album Whip Jamboree, which scampered up the Amazon mp3 Folk Charts to enjoy the view at #4 for the duration of the band’s April tour; “the best party going on 5 inches of plastic.” (**** R2 Magazine May/June 2013 issue)
