Deer Tick Welcome You To The Rock In New Video

Rhode Island’s Deer Tick have unveiled the new Colin Devin Moore directed video for the forthcoming single ‘The Rock’ (out Aug 12) this week on Noisey.

Frontman and chief songwriter John McCauley wrote the song following a string of shows with Two Gallants, declaring “I wanted to write something where I could scream kind of like how Adam [Stephens] screams“.

The first material to emerge from forthcoming fifth album Negativity; “The Rock’ documents a breakup, as McCauley further confesses “The silly little metaphors in the song are ‘the rock’ which is the power to destroy your relationship, and ‘the window’ which is the relationship.”

Negativity will be released in the UK on September 30 via Partisan Records.
