Berlin by-way of Tokyo pop singer, Cuushe has released a charming video for her equally charming new single ‘Airy Me’.
The track is taken from Cuushe’s debut album ‘Red Rocket Telepathy’ and is actually a tender makeover of the original song by flau label boss, Yasuhiko Fukuzono. As far as art and music colliding we’re usually on the fence, but the results here are beautiful.
The video took 2 years to create and features 3000 hand-drawn illustrations of floating butterflies and hazy visions of the future. Constructed by young Japanese artist and animator, Yoko Kuno, born 1990, the video was produced as part of her graduation assignment whilst at University.
Cuushe is currently adding the final touches to her new album ‘Butterfly Case’ due for release on 23rd September via flau.
