There is a beautiful new 4k restoration of René Clément’s PLEIN SOLEIL, starring Alain Delon. The film was the first adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s best-selling novel The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Featuring a career-defining turn from a young, beautiful, ultra-cool Delon, PLEIN SOLEIL is a striking study of a glamorous and complex psychopath from French director René Clément. This year is the centenary of Clément’s birth – a versatile but underrated Oscar-winner described as “The French Hitchcock” behind other such diverse classics as Forbidden Games, Gervaise, Is Paris Burning?
PLEIN SOLEIL is being re-releasined in cinemas on 30th August and then on DVD/BD on 14th September.
To celebrate this release we have 3 bundles of Plein Soleil with The Talented Mr Ripley and Breathless to gove away on DVD.
