We Are The Ocean will be re-releasing Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow. The Deluxe Edition will be available on October 14th via Hassle Records and to celebrate the occasion, We Are The Ocean have released a brand new video for acoustic album closer ‘Chin Up, Son’.
Teaming up with Peter Miles, the man at the production helm of ‘Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow’ and the band’s previous album ‘Go Now and Live’, We Are The Ocean and a group of musicians headed down to Peter’s Middle Farm Studios to record brand new arrangements of songs from the band’s back catalogue, all recorded live.
Says frontman Liam Cromby of the experience: “It was great to be back at Middle Farm Studios to record our live album, there’s always a sense that something special is about to happen when we’re there. We were given the opportunity to experiment with the songs so we brought in some friends to jam with us over that weekend and It was like a dream playing with such talented musicians. There was a string quartet, backing singers, Martin from our label buddies The JCQ, brass, organ all complementing each other playing the songs that the band have lived with for years: ‘Now and Then’ and ‘Confessions’, even the newer ones like ‘Young Heart’ all coming to life under one roof. One thing I learned from this experience is that music is most enjoyable when shared with others.”
The band will be supporting American rockers Jimmy Eat World this month on their UK tour dates.
