Empty Pools Reveal Exploded View Video

Bristol band Empty Pools have shared their new video for ‘Exploded View’, the lead single from their debut album Saturn Reruns.

Set for a 4th November release on Battle Worldwide, 23-year-old vocalist Leah Pritchard sleazily snarls over the track like a caged animal as tight hi-hats and intertwined guitars lay down a lo-fi backdrop.

This is tense and understated stuff from a band that cite Talking Heads, Pylon and Marnie Stern as influences, with some definite At The Drive In moments putting this one foot in the post-hardcore scene and another in the garage and psych world.

The video for Exploded View was directed by Simon Ainge and the DOP was Simon Kotowicz, the two Simons taking influence from Vaughan Oliver and Nigel Grierson and their famed work as 23 Envelope to create the distinctive visuals.
