Gary Barlow Ticket Demand Soars Following BBC Appearance

Ticket demand for Gary Barlow’s spring solo shows has increased by almost 100% over the week, despite his widely panned New Year’s Eve BBC bonanza, according to ticket marketplace Seatwave.

Gary Barlow’s Big Ben Bash saw the Take That star perform a medley of his hits and included a segment where he performed a duet with himself, via a video projection of him singing in 1993. The show, seen by many as a step too far, prompted one viewer to ask whether the “BBC was being renamed the GBC”.

Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave, says: “Although the BBC’s Barlow show garnered near universal derision it pulled in a massive audience of 10.2 million. It seems as a result of this exposure, tickets for Barlow’s shows are now selling like hotcakes, perhaps the star’s duet with himself proves that two Barlows are better than one.”
