Gentle Friendly Sign To Fatcat Records & Drop Free EP

To celebrate the signing of Gentle Friendly, FatCat Records are pleased to present ‘Rrides’, a free-to-download compilation of seven tracks from the band’s back catalogue as well as a brand new unreleased track, ‘Autumn Nite’ which will appear on the forthcoming album, and another previously unreleased older track, ‘You Are The Brother’.

Including tracks from releases on notable London DIY labels No Pain in Pop and Upset The Rhythm, ‘Rride’ gives a distillation of the band’s particular brand of future Englishness, a blend of circular melodies, tidal fuzz and sliced up, jerky rhythms.

“History is a circle so here’s seven songs of the past/future/present of Gentle Friendly” say the band themselves about the EP “From the ones we finished this year for our new record to the ones that got lost along the way, these songs are where we are, were and will be as a band in 2014 – it feels like we’ve come a huge long way. Sing new songs over the old ones. Happy new year!”
