Mariam The Believer Spreads Her Wings In New Video

Mariam The Believer has kicked off her 2014 with the announcement of a new release and a European tour. Taken from her intoxicating album Blood Donation, ‘Above The World’ is another example of just why we love this woman so much.

“I was influenced by Alice Coltrane”, says Mariam “and this sort of free, spiritual warm music. I think quite a lot in images when I’m writing a song..if it’s cold, if it’s warm, light, dark…Alice Coltrane was one thing and Mark Hollis (Talk, Talk) too.”
