Idiom To Give Away EPs Through Metal Hammer

Exeter metal band Idiom is to break the traditional label cycle and give away their music through 2014 with Metal Hammer magazine on not one, but for the first time a series of three separate cover-mounts ahead of their first album release. They will also be playing various live dates through February and March which will be the first opportunities to see the new material in the live sphere.

“’Movement’ is about constantly striving for what you want and dream,” says Idiom guitarist Kris Gibbz of the first EP which is in stores now with the latest issue of Metal Hammer and can be streamed online here with a free download set to follow in March. “Each song has its own journey and meaning to all of us but we’ve been the same four members for the whole of Idiom’s existence and we’re closer than ever. This is just the beginning of that movement.”

“We wanna give it away for free with Metal Hammer cause it’s probably the most open minded metal audience that would relate to what we’re trying to do,” continues singer Matt Sharland. “We just want to play to as many people having a great time as possible, and this is a great way of doing it and we can’t thank Metal Hammer enough for helping us and other musicians to get out there and play new music.”

Metal Hammer editor, Alex Milas, had the following to say of their partnership with the band: “Idiom represent the best of what’s an already thrilling new generation of metal bands who face steep challenges in getting their music to potential fans, which is where we come in. We’re asking our readers to Play It, Rip It and Share It!”
