Fed up of the endless tide of alt-folk? Longing for something with a bit more substance and melancholy? Look no further as North Dakota’s finest troubadour Tom Brosseau returns to the UK to tour his first solo release in 5 years and his 7th studio album to date.
‘Grass Punks’ which was released via Tin Angel records on 20th January draws on themes of on the emptiness of a false dream, loyalty, betrayal and perseverance – what’s not to love about that cheery cocktail for a true music fan?
Brosseau is of the old-school entertainer variety, born to a large musical family and touring his guts out internationally; believe us when we say all the hard work has paid off. Coming across as something of a master craftsman of songwriting, there’s something charmingly archaic about these delicate slices of Americana.
