Deliciously soundtracked by Portugese singer Noriel Vilela, the new Heineken advert ‘The Odyssey’ recently came under flak from doubting Twitter trolls who attacked the authenticity of the commercial.
In a fantastically tongue in cheek response to sceptics’ comments on its latest advertising campaign, Heineken’s hit back with this response that goes behind the scenes of the casting process to show the “true talents” of all the men involved.
Sandrine Huijgen, Global Communications Director HEINEKEN, commented: “When we saw the comments about The Odyssey TVC, we wanted to show that there are no boundaries between real and fake, proving that real men have unique skills, and everyone is legendary at something.”
The set for the ad included a 10 foot deep pool on the boat, which required a special diver to dive in such shallow water. No tricks, no fakes, it’s all real.
Everyone is legendary at something.
