Introducing: Aquilo

Aquilo have been beavering away for the last couple of years, their mutual love of production developing a minimal electronic approach on their debut EP, which is set for release in April.

Tom and Ben are two musicians geographically located in what is perfectly exemplified in their music, the Lake District village of Silverdale. Much like the great expanses of our Icelandic cousins, the haunting isolation of the Lakes is starkly apparent in much of their material.

Opening track ‘You There’ is a swelling, mature offering that sets out their stall as ones to keep a beady eye on – from the opening bars of the piano and ambient backdrop, this is luscious soul food.
