In the midst of The Wonder Years’ massively successful North American run of The Greatest Generation Tour, the band has released a brand new music video for their song ‘Dismantling Summer’, taken from their most recent album ‘The Greatest Generation’. The album was released in May of 2013 and lauded by critics across the board, earning spots in the Top 10 albums of the year in both Kerrang! And Rock Sound magazines.
The clip was directed by Drew Russ and shot in the band’s hometown of Philadelphia, PA. “We knew that for a song so personal, a literal re-telling for the video would be unwelcome and painful” says lead vocalist Dan “Soupy” Campbell. “Drew, the director, took the core nerve of the song, the idea of being away when it matters most, and spun it into an absurdist piece of dark comedy during which my family found themselves fed up with my perpetual absence and replaced me with a mannequin, leaving me in the literal cold.”
The Wonder Years will venture across the pond in May for the UK and European leg of The Greatest Generation world tour, with A Loss For Words and State Champs in support. Tickets for all dates are selling out fast.
