With the release of Amatorski’s second album ‘From Clay To Figures’ swiftly approaching – due 14th April through Crammed Discs (Staff Benda Bilili, Akron/Family) – the duo are pleased to announce they have been confirmed for The Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
The Belgian band are also pleased to share the video for recent single ‘Hudson’.
Additionally, Amatorski have created an interactive page which encourages fans to share tracks off the forthcoming record ‘From Clay To Figures’ in order to unlock more of the song. With this Unlock page (conceived by Amatorski & their creative director Hilke Ros), the band have developed their innovative projects further from last year’s ‘Deleting Borders’ multimedia venture, which explored crossovers between music, internet and video art, and was acclaimed by the online tech community.
Amatorski’s captivating and intimate sound is created by vocalist Inne Eysermans (who also plays keyboards & guitar) and guitarist/vocalist Sebastiaan van den Branden.
‘From Clay To Figures’ was created over the course of last year at home, in their studio and on the road. Inne looked to New York and Hamburg for solitude and seclusion as an inspiration for new ideas. These sketches were sent to Sebastiaan, who moulded layers and sounds around the initial ideas. Through their continuous interplay, the new songs gradually took their definitive form. The resulting album tracks sound less secretive, more open and more hopeful than their debut.
