Idlewild To Play At Musicport Festival In October

Idlewild the Scottish alt-rockers led by Roddy Woomble play passionate rock’n’roll, brimming with restrained aggression, they reached their biggest level of success with singles ‘You Held The World In Your Arms’ and ‘American English’. The band released their last, highly rated, album ‘Post Electric Blues’ in 2009. Since then, frontman Roddy Woomble has released two solo albums, while guitarist Rod Jones has released material under his own name in addition to forming the band The Birthday Suit.

In 2014, after a four year hiatus, Idlewild are recording a new album and return to live performance with an acoustic, stripped back format and this will be only one of two performances this year south of the border.
