More Additions To Maverick Festival Line Up

The Maverick Festival is pleased to announce some very exciting additions to the already bursting line-up; MARY GAUTHIER, HOLLY WILLIAMS, WARD THOMAS and PETER BRUNTNELL.

On top of this we are thrilled to welcome legendary session musician, DAVID HOOD, one of the founding members of The Swampers, aka The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, will be coming over from Alabama to introduce the special festival screening of the MUSCLE SHOALS movie.

Maverick’s impressive line-up now includes Louisiana-native turned Nashvilleresident, MARY GAUTHIER, whose songs have been praised by both Bob Dylan and Tom Waits and recorded by the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Blake Shelton, Boy George, Tim McGraw, and Candi Staton amongst others.

HOLLY WILLIAMS, the granddaughter of Hank Williams, whose latest release The Highway debuted at #1 on the Billboard hit-seekers chart, will also be gracing the stage at this year’s festival.

Amongst others joining the line-up are the fantastic Country/Americana duo and twin sisters, WARD THOMAS, who were recently added to the BBC Radio 2 playlist, having also recorded a session for Terry Wogan and interviewed on the station’s ‘Nashville UK’ documentary.

Last but not least is Wellington-born PETER BRUNTNELL, whose album Normal For Bridgwater, was highly recommended by VH1 and Rolling Stone.

Taking place on 4th – 6th July, the festival presents an array of world class musical talent, comedy, dance, film & workshops and show-cases more than forty international artists across FIVE stages, indoors and out, which includes the brand new out-door SWEET HOME ALABAMA stage.
