Nick Oliveri Reunites On Stage With QOTSA

Wayward bearded maniac and bass player extraordinaire Nick Oliveri was reunited with former bandmates in Queens Of The Stone Age on stage for the first time in 10 years earlier this week.

Oliveri, also a former member of Kyuss and Mondo Generator, left Queens Of The Stone Age in 2004 but provided backing vocals on the band’s latest studio album ‘…Like Clockwork’ on the track ‘If I Had A Tail’.

The estranged star was arrested in 2011 following a stand-off with police at his Los Angeles residence and pleaded not guilty to a raft of charges stemming from the incident, including possession of a controlled substance with a firearm.

He rejoined the band on stage during their gig at Portland’s Keller Auditorium – the first time they have performed together in over a decade. Queens Of The Stone Age will share the headline slot at this years’ Reading and Leeds with Paramore. The two US acts will play this years’ bash, which take place on August’s bank holiday weekend.
