Fresh Chops: Hockeysmith
Combining the heavy industrial-synth of Gesaffelstein with a delicious break-beat groove, some ethereal vocals and glacial slabs of distorted guitar are today’s Fresh Chops in the form of ‘Hesistate’ from female duo Hockeysmith.
Comprised of sisters Annie & Georgie Hockeysmith, who spent most of the last year living and making music in a caravan on a farm in Cornwall, there’s definitely some magic at work in the NIN-esque groove of the material we’ve heard so far.
Their debut EP ‘But Blood’ consists of 4 tracks including the previously previewed ‘But Blood’ and ‘Meanwhile’ and new tracks ‘Hesitate’ and ‘Phantom Whistle’.
